Halloween and Bonfire Night Safety Message - Noel Park Ward

Halloween and Bonfire Night Safety Message - Noel Park Ward

As Halloween and Bonfire Night approach, your local Noel Park Safer Neighbourhood Team would like to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable celebration.

We encourage residents to celebrate responsibly and be mindful of their neighbours. Parents and guardians are advised to know where their children are, ensure they stay with trusted friends, and remind them to respect local residents, property, and community spaces.

If you are using fireworks, please follow the Firework Code, purchase fireworks only from licensed retailers, and never set them off in parks, open spaces, roads, or near homes, vehicles, and animals. Please also be considerate of elderly residents, young children, and pets who may be affected by loud noise.

Crime Prevention Advice

Ensure your home is secure before going out by locking all doors and windows.

Do not leave valuable items, handbags, mobile phones, or vehicle keys visible from windows.

Keep garden gates secured and consider outdoor lighting or CCTV where possible.

Never leave fireworks unattended and store them safely away from children.

If attending events, remain aware of your surroundings and keep personal belongings secure.

Do not carry or misuse fireworks in public places, as this may result in police action.

Your local officers will be conducting patrols throughout the ward and will take positive action against anti-social behaviour, criminal damage, disorder, and the misuse of fireworks.

If you witness anti-social behaviour or have concerns, please report it via 101 or online. In an emergency, always call 999.

Have a safe and enjoyable Halloween and Bonfire Night.
